What a Blessing!!

You know God is always looking out for me. I always wanted a really nice easel at home, but had not way of getting one. I even thought of trying to make one out of pallet wood, 'cause pallets are free. An easel just wasn't in the cards till I got out of school and started making money.
So yesterday, when I went to pick up my husband and he wasn't there yet, I decided that instead of sitting there in the parking lot I'd drive around and get some things done. I would check on when the gallery was open and then stop by and look for some bowls for the dog at the thrift store.
Now what you have to realize is I had been going to get bowls for over a month and either forgot or decided that I had other things to do that were more important. Yesterday too,  I had no plans to go there. When I got there I looked around for a bowl, but they really was nothing that I could use. I was about to leave but felt like I should look around, maybe there was something that I needed.
I wandered around for a while looking at old frames but there was nothing special there and so I moved farther back into the store. There in the very back corner behind the mattresses and furniture there it was. A full size easel. A nice one, like the ones that you order out of those expensive art catalogs.
I thought, "What's that doing here, maybe it's broken." Well I checked it over and tried all the little adjustment thing'es and it worked.t was old but there was nothing wrong with it and they were only selling it for $40!  I couldn't believe it. I just grabbed and started dragged it up to the front.
It was funny because some guy came up and asked if I wanted help with it and I wasn't going to let hem touch. Then I realized that he was actually from the store and really was going to help me and wasn't interested in the easel. Silly huh.
It was a trick getting it into the van but we did. When I got it home I was still so happy and excited about it I could hardly thing of anything else. I even hugged it!
Mr. Man was happy for me and told me happy birthday and merry Christmas! Isn't he cute. I couldn't be happier with my gift and I'm grateful for it.
I am also grateful to my heavenly father for placing this blessing in my path, not only the easel but the talent that he has placed in my hands. Being able to paint, and paint well, is such a precious gift to me. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me and ranks right up there with marrying my dear husband and having the gospel in my life. Having this easel come to me is one more sign to me that this is what Heavenly Father want me to be doing. I will paint for him.
